Class II by IgorKutuzov Class II by IgorKutuzov
(based on gungriffon mechs)

Created in the late 2016 to adapt with the future battlefields... the Class II mechs are born to do what AMBERs (Class I) mechs can't, infact they are made mainly for anti tank fighting, various nations around he world undestand that they needed this kind of war machines... they are the future of the armored warfare so each nation developed their own Class II

UNITED STATES
M-116 A1 Swartzkopf
One of the first Class II units Strong, realiable with good electronics and mobility it's also well known for the special Belly section that can rotate separated from the upper chest, this permit to aim the 120mm main gun with ease the other weapons are 2 .50 cal guns 1 in the head and one in the belly section the manipulators are used to carry different weapons from a 76mm Rifle to a 120mm cannon or a Missile launcher

RUSSIAN FEDERATION
SR-18 Drobilka
a well known Class II a bit heavier and slower than equivalent units this because it carry a pretty thick armor and robust mechanics, but the unit is well known for another reason the massive missilistic armament it have 3 hardpoints for large containers for missiles can mount both Advanced Anti tank missiles 9M123 Khrizantema (NATO reporting name AT-15 Springer) and a compact version of the lethal S-400 missile, other weapons are a AA 20mm cannon and a hand held 125mm cannon

GERMANY
Jagdpanther VII A7
one of the most lethal battle machines of the Class II another demnostration of the superiority of the German engineers in combat unit the Jagdpanther it's a mix of a Battle Robot with a Assault Heli extreely fast, manuverable and well armed with two 35mm cannons and a pod for large missiles or smart assault rockets it's powered by two Eurojet EJ-500 V-9 turbines that give to it VTOL capabilites that can tip the scale in battle

Sturmleopard III A3
another performing unit by the kraug maffei industried he deserved to recive the name of the legendary Leopard infact this unit mobility is shocking compared to other units of the same weight this thanks to the treads under both feet, but this unit isn't just fast it's also well aromred and armed with a OTO "Super Rapido" 76mm cannon modified and adapted to be belt fed and a modular pack for heavy ATMs

UNITED KINGDOM
Mk.IVF Chanrger
another of the first Class II entred in production even if visibly smaller and less "cool looking" than other Class II this unit can do it's job even better than more advanced units infact it's bulky hull can resist really to everithing thanks to the advanced armor that are typical of Bitish products another intresting feature of this unit is the twin SAAB 40mm cannons with Fuze programmable Smart ammunition that are quite useful to intercept incoming missiles or mortar rounds the other weapon is a classical Royal Ordinance Factory 120mm cannon

ITALY
VCR-5 Satiro
the VCR-5 (Veicolo da Combattimento Robotizzato = Robotic Battle Veicle) it's a product that is exported world wide thanks to the efficency and to the capability to carry heavy weapons without crusign even soft terrains this thanks to the good weight distribution and the large feets the armor isn't the best avabile but thanks to the size of the unit it's pretty thick infact the unit it's robust and strong it can carry a 155mm hand held cannon or a OTO "Super Rapido" 76mm cannon and have a bulit in heavy rocket launcher with autoloader, but it lacks of close defence and anti infatry weapons

PEPOLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
Type-17
this Class II unit it's based on old Russian SR Prototypes infact it's made mixing Russian mech parts and Chinese electronics and weapon systems, it haven't a great anti heavy armor firepower but it's capable to become a walking nemesis for light armored veichles infantry and Attack helis it's armed with two 30mm Cannons a couple of Missile launchers and two 14.5mm HMG mounted inside the srange looking arms

NEW UNITED NATIONS
LAAM-12H
the LAAM-12H Fraizer it's the most modern Low Altitude Assault Mech it's fast agile and capable to manuver in Mid air with ease the capability to fly permit to it to eliminate easly attacking from above even the strongest enemy tanks...

Interesting designs. The only thing you're missing are French and Israeli mechs and you have all the countries that still design their own tanks (Maybe also Japan)

I was getting inspired to this, so I've made this one for 3D models from Google Sketch-up.

Actually they have been made already. The trouble is that they were made in japan. Also some body made a pilot jacket with all the patches. Find them is the trouble.

i know that there are model kits but they haven't the quality of common models... they are resin kits that have been created probably in limited numbers...

Great stuff, makes me wish we had mechs in the real world.

A buudy of mine just gave me his copy of Gungriffon, great game. Wish it got more props when it came out, future it would be nice to see more of it on the new platforms.

well mechs in real warfare are still something that don't give enought advantages...

but battle armors and powered suits are ! ^^

Yeah, mechs are still just a sci-fi day dream but it is cool that you can read up on real world power armor, optical camo and rail guns being made for the military.
If we can't have mechs, I'll settle for power armor :D

I've been following those off and on, cool stuff.

What really impress me was a photo from Japan of some prototype optical camo, man was wearing a poncho that made him almost transparent!

Lose the wings on the Fraizer, as it violates the rule on flying mecha for the NUN.

IgorKutuzov Featured By Owner Aug 17, 2010  Hobbyist Digital Artist
if NUN want that their troops die due to the fact they haven't s valid support mech just to respect a law old of decades ok...
but KHI will not do the same mistake...
aftreall think to it why the evolution of warfare must be stopped just by a law ? it's sensless it's obvious that new warfare with new technology need new laws you can't keep the old laws forever...
and if you do you will block evolution and if you will block evloution pepole will begin to hate the one that impose restrictive laws...
