The E-12 it's specifically created to increase penetration to reach this the first step was use a perfoming round such as the 6.8mm the CTA ammo have been choosen to permit to operator to carry more rounds (to counter the fact most of the times the operators are outnumbered by the quantity of drones that S-3 can deploy) the weapon also feature a "hyperburst" feature that permit to the weapon to fire super rapid 2 round bursts ideal to increase damage and penetration on target keeping an optimal accuracy also thanks to the rubber stock plate and stock mounted shock absorbers
The weapon can be used with 3 main types of ammunition (from left to right) :
- Standard 6.8mm Ball the most balanced perfomance wise round
- High Propulsion 6.8mm Ammo a derivated of the +P+ russian munition that use overpressure to increase lethality of rounds this is the main reason why the weapon have a fast barrel removal switch infact the HP Ammunition have been proven to reduce the operative life of the barrel drastically
- SABOT Flechette 6.8mm Ammo the most round that can be fired from the E-12 with the highest penetration perfomance the small tungsten flechette is able to pirce easly almost any S-3 drone armor but lacks of punch still it's an ideal round to cripple vital parts of enemy drones rapidly
