PK-51M Krokodil

The PK-51M or Pulemet Kutuzova model 2051 Type-M it's a high performance LMG for specialied and professional soldiers
the weapon uses polymers, advanced materials and a high quality construction that raises the cost another reason of the high cost it's the complex mechanism based on the Nikonov "blowback shifted pulse" based on the same principles of the mechanism of the AN-94 Assault rifle, this gives great performances but forces to produce the gun just for special forces...
The gun have a two round burst at 1800 RPM giving an optimal middle long range lethality infact the second round of the burst left the barrel before the recoil it's felt... then the gun slow down at 650 RPM for the PK-51M and Mk.56 models and at 800 RPM for the Mk.58 model...
The stock + the internial mechanism reduces a lot the felt recoil making it a pretty accurate gun even while standing, the mag it's a metal drum (or plastic in Mk models) that can contain 100 - 150 rounds the weapon si designed to permit to reload the gun without opening the top cover so the reload is a bit faster...

in the 2053 the gun, due to the fact that military analysts didn't liked the fact that the PK-51M used the Nikonov "blowback shifted pulse", have been heavly modified the PK-53 uses a totally different mechanism the AEK moving counterweight mechanism so instead of precision thanks to rapid bursts... the precision in this gun is obtained thanks to the low recoil...
