The E-24E0 is a powerful and perfoming MMG (Medium Machine Gun) this new class of support weapon use larger caliber munitions than standard GPMGs infact the E-24 fire the famous .338 rounds of course in it's CTA version the main advantages of using this powerful munition are the increased lethality and range infact the weapon have 4 times the power on target at 1700 meters compared to the 7.62x51mm munitions fired by an M240 Bravo, the weapon have been choosen mainly for the TF-E need of serious firepower and also to outrange the support weapons of Syndicate-3 drones
of course as most of the E-series weapons the E-24E0 as well can be used to fire with different round types here the 3 main types of ammunition (from left to right) :
- Standard 8.58mm Ball the basic munitions able to deal with any kind of threath it's the most used due to the fact the large caliber is powerful enought to pirce S-3 drones armor, the belt have 4 standard ball an a AP round
- High Propulsion 8.58mm enhanched power that generate overpressure to increase speed and lethality of rounds, but the overpressure also reduce the operative life of the barrel of the weapon, the belt have same configuration of standard munitions with 4 standard ball an a AP round
- SABOT Flechette 8.58mm Ammo the most penetrating round that can be fired from the weapon, it's the same of standard munitions but this replace the AP round with a SABOT
